Bearer <API key>. Mint an API key (sk_live_…) in the Splark dashboard, or POST https://api.splark.com/api/signup with {"email":"you@company.com"} to create a free account (20 shorts/month) and receive a key. OAuth-capable clients (claude.ai web, Claude Desktop connectors) can skip the header and use the Connect flow instead — the endpoint answers 401 with OAuth resource metadata.
